This Water Tower application consists of remote monitoring of the ground level tank and the water tower tank in town.  The project was initiated because the $7K sensor at the remote tank failed and the town needed to update their controls.  The local electrical contractor did this job using the Banner Engineering QT50 radar sensor to detect water levels in both the remote tank and the tower tank.  The output of those two sensors was fed into Banner Engineering’s SureCross Wireless I.O system for transmission into a Red Lion Human-Machine Interface (HMI) that allows the city engineering department to monitor the level.  The Red Lion HMI also logs the tank levels and gives the city engineering department remote access to the info via the Internet.
